The Person I Most Admire...

That's right!  That person is Avril Lavigne.  I have admired Avril Lavigne for years, and I still do.
Avril is a Canadian singer that writes the best music ever!!  I first discovered her when her hit single "Don't Tell Me" appeared on television.  after that, I was hooked.

Avril was born in Ontario.   She won a radio contest to perform with Shania Twain, and she told her she wanted to become a singer.  A record dealer found her and gave her a $200 000 contract for a year.

I like her because Avril has the "I don't care what anyone thinks of me" attitude.  She also believes we should be ourselves and don't care what others think of you.  she also likes playing sports like street hockey, yoga, and skateboarding.

I hope to one day make my own songs that tell others that they should be themselves, Avril Lavigne did the same thing!

Of all the places  would like to travel, I want to go to Greece.  Why Greece?  Greece is the home of the Greek history.  I have grown a fascination to their legends of the gods as well.  My favorite Greek Olympian is Athena.  but there is more I like about the Greeks.  Their homes, the way that they're styled.   I hope one day to build my dream home like the ones in Greece.

A view of Athens Acropolis. And a clear view of the Parthenon
A town near the ever so blue ocean
A theatre that was used in ancient times

Here is a video of Greece and its culture.

Greece also has a lot of facts:
- The highest point is Mount Olympus, home of the gods and goddesses
- Their national holiday is March 25th
- In Greek mythology, there are 12 Olympians
- Greece held the 2004 Olympic Games

Here are the many places you can go see:
- Mount Athos
a mountain and peninsula in northern Greece.  The peninsula houses 1400 monks in 20 eastern orthodox monasteries
- Myastras
the capital in the 14th century now has breathtaking ruins
- Lindos
a medieval village on the island of Rhodes with cobblestone streets
- Parthenon
the temple in athens Acropolis. it served as a church, fortress, and temple

And there is always the price, because things are not cheap.  I assumed I would be going for 2 weeks.  It would be $3138.13 for a flight there and back and a 4-star hotel for 14 nights.
